What is bioplastics?

Bioplastics can be classified into three groups:

  • Biobased & Biodegradable

  • Biobased & non-Biodegradable

  • Biodegradable & non-Biobased

Biodegradable plastics that are not produced from biological resources continue to increase the use of petroleum resources and thus lead to increased carbon emissions.

In order to decrease carbon emissions and create an alternative to petroleum plastics, bio-based plastics must be chosen.

Technology

  • Bio Pura is based on olive pits as agricultural waste with the PCT patented technology.

  • Carbon emissions can be reduced by 94% when BioPura-derived biopolymers are used.

  • Biolive produces 100% biobased BioPura.

  • Biolive’s compounds include between 25-75%  bio-content, depending on application.

  • Other bioplastics come from food sources such as starch and sugar. However, Biolive uses agricultural wastes as sources.

Why Bio-Based Plastics?

The use of fossil-based materials can be reduced by using bio-based plastics with a mass balance approach according to The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC).

Using bio-based materials helps reduce the amount of plastic derived from virgin fossil fuels.

What Biolive offers

Biolive provides sustainable products without using food resources, reducing carbon emissions with its patented technology and certified products.

Thanks to patented technology, industrial waste such as olive pits, which are waste from olive oil companies, are brought into the circular economy by upcycling.

Since Biolive’s unique solution is compatible with recycled plastics and PCR plastics, comprehensive solutions are produced for customers in the preparation of customized formulations.

PROCESSING METHODS

Sustainable products can be processed with injection molding methods with:
Same Machinery
Same Mold
Similar Parameters
Products can be recycled with same recycling line of regular plastics.
